2026 President’s Letter

Dear Friends,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the vibrant and exciting India Festival on August 23, 2026 at Pioneer Courthouse Square.

As we proudly celebrate India’s 79th Independence Day, we honor the birth of the world’s largest democracy and reflect on the enduring values that connect India and the United States. The US–India relationship continues to grow in strength and importance, rooted in shared democratic ideals, cultural exchange, and a deep people-to-people bond. This festival is a celebration of that connection, bringing communities together through culture, tradition, and friendship.

India Festival is a tribute to India’s rich cultural heritage, and we are thrilled to present our popular entertainment program, showcasing the diverse traditions, music, and dance forms of India. Registration for the program will open on June 1st, 2026.

For over 32 years, the India Cultural Association (ICA) has organized this incredible event—a remarkable achievement made possible by our dedicated volunteers. Their passion, commitment, and countless hours of hard work are the backbone of this festival, and we are deeply grateful for all that they do.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the vendors who have supported us by purchasing booths, advertising in our Chakra magazine, sponsoring banners, and making generous donations. Booth registration for both food and non-food vendors will open in late April.

Culture plays a vital role in shaping a nation’s identity. At India Festival, you will experience a spectacular array of live performances, from traditional and Bollywood dance to classical and folk arts, as well as literary showcases. And of course, don’t miss the delicious Indian cuisine—tandoori chicken, dosas, mango lassis, and much more! Be sure to visit our vendor booths and support their businesses.

Children are invited to explore the Cultural Booth, where they can enjoy fun and creative activities throughout the day. Many families plan their summer around this festival, and we are continually inspired by the enthusiasm and dedication of our community.

Being part of ICA offers many benefits—from celebrating Indian culture to building leadership skills and lifelong connections. We are proud that many of our past performers and attendees continue to support and uplift this event year after year.

With your continued support, we look forward to hosting India Festival for many more years to come. If you are interested in getting involved, we would love to hear from you—we are actively seeking volunteers for the 2026 festival.
